This is sad but unfortunately not surprising. Ohh the power of politics....

At least us common citizens have Waze that reduces some risk.

I have gotten hit more than once spanning a decade going over 80 on 95S, most recent was memorial day weekend year before last; where the misses and I typically head down to Hilton Head for a long weekend visiting family. Fortunately my combat vet tags (and of course not being a pompous, self righteous jerk) have gotten me out of anything other than "warnings".

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: VA should never have raised the max speed limit to 70 on interstates unless raising the RD limit was included in a package deal. Raising the speed limit to 70 without raising the RD limit guaranteed that the RD law will never change. Too much easy money being made.
