So I looking into moving to Herndon. Can anyone tell me if Kingstream Drive in Herndon is a good neighborhood or not? What areas should I avoid? Are the public schools in Herndon good? Thanks for your help!

Most police departments have a policy where officers refer people who ask these questions to a certain office within the PD. You can get crime stats and so on but no one will officially say it's a good or bad area to live. But one on one on the street I certainly would tell folks either yes or no on a neighborhood I would live in or would not. Not sure if you can get to the town and whether you can even find an officer all alone but it's worth a shot.

Is Kingstream Dive in the Town of Herndon or the Fairfax County neighborhood of Herndon? It looks like Fairfax County so I believe Dransville Elementary, Herndon Middle and Herndon High. I love Herndon Middle, looking forward to Herndon High, good schools all around! I came from Parochial Private to Dranesville. Was only there a year so it was serviceable but preferred my Church school for elementary.

This site is worthless.

Instead please use Town of Herndon Crime stats.

I've lived in Kingstream for 25 years and we are quite happy with it. I've had 3 kids go through the Herndon pyramid and we had no issues. As noted, Kingstream has kids attend Dranesville, Herndon Middle, and Herndon High School.

We have a neighborhood pool that is included as part of your HOA. The neighborhood backs to Sugarland Valley Park that has numerous trails, and is convenient to both Rte 7 and the toll road for commuting.

Feel free to ask any other questions that you would like.

I don't know where this incident is in reference to Kingstream but I see a lot of crime reports from Herndon that's why I personally would be hesitant to move to most parts of Herndon. Although there are certainly very nice parts in Herndon. But when you read about crime in one town over and over again, it certainly paints the entire town in a bad light.

Not to be argumentative, but that incident is definitely in the Town of Herndon. Alabama Drive has been known as one of the more crime prone areas of Herndon for quite a while.

I love living in Herndon (even though i'm just in the County) and in 30 plus years, i have never been a victim of crime, nor encountered any personally.

The Labor Day Festival and music on Friday's during the summer (Friday Night Live) https://www.herndonrocks.com/ are great events.

Ahhhh. Yeah That Alabama/Florida spot in Herndon is like saying you went to Chicago and spent all your time in Fuller Park.
