I think you should be more concerned about the cold. I have a couple of Houstoners living with me and the highest complaint is the cold and the food.

That’s a new one for me. I mean it’s colder, but I expected that moving from Texas. And what about the food? There is barely any Tex Mex, but what food complaints did they have?

I'm in my early 30s and just moved to east Loudoun/Ashburn area. If you are single, your best bet will not be Ashburn as it's mainly a community for young families and married couples. I'd check out the Tysons area, or if you can handle the commute, Arlington. Arlington is full of young singles your age and it's more of a nightlife scene there. And like someone else mentioned, the Metro will open up soon so you can always just Metro to Ashburn.

Ashburn, even Reston, doesn't have any places where younger folks frequent as everything closes down around midnight.

Steak quality and prices.

Dim Sum. We have it here but it was not as good or the places were not as good.
Bubble Tea here sucks.

Tex Mex.

Well that’s all true. Dim sum is no where near the same level. We don’t even bother with it up here, only in Houston when we return to see family.

Houston really is a great food city. I miss many of my old haunts. But food here is great too. Just different.

I am in no way saying this area has bad food but I agree it is different. They got me a bubble tea down there and I could see why people like them. I have been to several places up here and not even close. But I think I may like food options in Houston better. Hard for me to know because I have not spent much time there.

Hi Guys,
So been here a month. Quiet atmosphere, unlike houston.
But easy commute. Have taken up a place in Ashburn itself. Any advices about best internet providers...with pocket friendly costs.
