So I've seen that the Governor has suspended VSP from enforcing the safety inspections for vehicles until July 31 2020. Does this go down to the county level?

My safety inspection is expiring at the end of April. Don't want to get a fix-it ticket from the county level. I was going to get it done tomorrow on my day off, but that was before the stay at home order was enacted. As I understand it repair places should be open according to this: EO-53 Temporary Restrictions Due To Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Just call the shop and tell them you are coming. If stopped the officer can confirm. But if it just expired you have little to no chance of receiving a summons.

Thanks I appreciate the response. I'm not too worried about it right now. I'm 100% TC right now and if I really need to go anywhere I can take another car.

Thanks but I was asking about enforcement on the county level. Kind of moot as I got nowhere I need to be that can't wait.

Safety inspections are state issued, not county. So you are good until July 31.

If you are concerned that a local/county police will ticket you, just print that ED and show it to them if you get pulled over.
