catch a bus, catch a cold

I took the Silver Line train last winter and threw up. It was late at night and we came back from a family get-together at a restaurant near Virginia Square. On a full stomach, with the air in the carriage very bad, and being jostled on the ride, I got very sick. Fortunately, it did not last.

COVID causes pneumonia. It attacks the lungs and the heart. That's why shortness of breath as experienced by Trump is one of the key symptoms. The thing about reimbursements and more Covid diagnoses has been debunked. The reimbursements were increased at the peak, and cases and deaths have been falling since. It has been repeated so many times about Medicare reimbursements that the it's obvious that people know it's a lie (which is common in political discussions).

Guess my ER Nurse cousin is lying when the ER doctor told her to change a cause of death.

As lightly used as buses to the Metro is here in my part of western Fairfax, rarely more than ten people on bus, its the issue of disinfecting surfaces between uses that is of concern. Science does not know how long the virus stays on various surfaces. Same for Uber, Lyft, are cars disinfected by all drivers between each passenger trip? Even if company policy, I doubt it. Like rest of us, those drivers have trouble getting Lysol also. I have not commuted on either mode since the pandemic hit.

As far as masks, if you wear glasses, it is a problem outside with glasses fogging up, and that is a safety issue if you cannot see where you are going. Though I always wear a mask properly in indoor public spaces, outdoors I keep one strapped to my chin and pull it up if approach someone near 6 foot range while walking around or near the neighborhood or taking a bike ride for exercise.
