Hello!

Trying to get some current/past experience from the experienced DMV commuters. PRE-COVID when the congestion/traffic was normal in the DMV area, does anyone have a estimated time from these locations to Arlington/Crystal City area through "66" that connects towards the Pentagon during the rush hour traffic (6am-8am) for car riders?

1) Tysons Corner
2) Falls Church

3) Rosslyn

4) As close as to Columbia Pike

I am very familiar with the area, but never commuted from these locations. Any inputs would be greatly appreciated!

South from Rosslyn to CC would have the shortest commute time since you would take 110 as a straight shot. Probably about 10 min at worst. Columbia Pike would be the next shortest and tack on another 10 depending how far west on the Pike you are.

if you are taking 66 from Tysons or Falls Church, it actually wouldn't take too long, traffic isn't bad.....but I hope you are a millionaire. It was pretty usual for 66E from Tysons to DC to have a 1-way toll of $30-$36 in prime commuting times. So unless you like setting money on fire; I would plan alternative routes from these locations to Crystal City. I would pass through Tysons around 7 am and take 123 to the GW Parkway and, barring an accident, only took about 20 minutes to get down to Arlington 110. Any later than that, the time will increase exponentially.
