This is my first post to the forum. I am hoping that someone can help me out.

I just accepted a new position in Old Town Alexandria on King Street. I live in Herndon/Fairfax area and am currently commuting to Arlington.

I know the commute is going to be long to Old Town...I grew up here and am completely used to long commutes. BUT at the same time, I would rather not sit still on 495 or 236 every single day.

Does anyone have a good route from Fairfax to Old Town that is a better option?

I'm moving to Herndon now. May I ask how is your commute to Arlington?
