PRat Partners was good for me, although I won't be going back b/c it is a little too far for me to drive.
Moving here in this humidity has affected my hair as well but I found using good products has helped. I use Tigi's Curls Rock shampoo, conditioner, and the pump styling (can't think of the name...it is like a cream/gel) and it works great in this humidity.
good luck

Have you looked for recommendations near you in naturallycurly.com? I've found good places in different cities through that site. Bogart in Georgetown and La Moustache in Old Town Alexandria are excellent. In Burke, Salon Daniela's owner is very good with curly hair.

Thanks, I didn't know that!

Next time somebody tells me I'm having a bad hair day. I'll just tell 'em......Hey, it's the humidity, man!

Thanks for the help! I went to the naturally curly site and I'm gonna try Bang! at Verizon Center. Sounded best for the price.
Definitely gotta get some tigi products!
In the meantime, POOF!!

I went to Nichole at Ruby Red's Salon in Springfield for the first time in March. I really liked the cut and color. I am going again next month. I used to elsewhere that was WAY too expensive. I felt like Nicole was reasonably priced for the area. I believe she owns the salon.

Good luck!

I go to Sofia at the Dynasty Salon in Annandale. She's the best stylist I've ever had.

7444 Little River Turnpike. 703-256-4700

A regular cut is $21. Shampoo and cut $24.
