To commute from Lorton to Merrifield, what would be the best option? Thanks.

There are no good driving options. If the job is in Merrifield, I would seriously consider not living in Lorton. If you just had to live in Lorton, I would at least look at the VRE trains to L'Enfant Plaza, then the Metro Orange Line to Dunn Loring/Merrifield. Anything to avoid driving...

Just wanted to post the results in case anyone else was wondering....my fiance works in Merrifield 6:30 or 7 to 2:30 or 3 Monday thru Friday. It takes him 20-30 minutes to get to and from work from Lorton (assuming there is no accidents, of course -- general traffic is not that bad). Of course, if he had to work 9-5, it'd be a lot worse. And this is on 95, btw.
