Some guy (light skinned, dreds, missing teeth or perhaps a gold cap) with VA plates threw a bottle at my car on 95 N right above the 7100 interchange and before the mixing bowl. I pulled my phone out and started calling the cops, to which he threatened to ram my car and veered over. I continued, and he slowed to a crawl so I could not catch his plate as he passed. He cut over two lanes of traffic and got off at exit 149 (I think, Franconia) , which parallels 95 North for a few hundred feet before breaking off. I pulled over on the shoulder to wait until he passed to get his plate, but he stopped in the middle of the off ramp. He got out of his car and proclaimed he would "beat my white ass". Then he attempted to reason with me and beg me not to call the cops. Eventually he took off his t-shirt, covered the back plate and sped off. I filed a police report, but was never able to get his plate. Posting here on the off chance someone witnessed it (it would have been hard to miss the whole incident). He was driving a recent model Dark Green Escalade EXT (the type with the open truck bed that looks like an avalanche). He was dressed as though he had no job , including a wife-beater shirt.

If anyone saw this and caught his license plate, it'd really help out with my police report.

I'm so sorry this happened to you. A similar thing happened to me where I currently live, and it's terrifying; and I'm a tough chick.

Was it a glass or plastic bottle? Were you able to recover it and maybe the police can pull the prints? There are a ton of traffic cameras near that area (TrafficLand.com - Traffic Cameras, Traffic Video, Live Traffic Cams). Not sure if they archive the video and police can request it.

Sorry that it happened to you, but luckily you were not hurt.

Good luck.

Plastic bottle, bounced off the doorframe. Despite it not being glass, it's still illegal and the driver should be dealt with accordingly. If it hit me in the face I could have wrecked..

At least report to the police the info that you do have. Someone who would behave that way is unlikely to have just a single instance of exerable driving behavior. If the cops pull over someone driving the same type vehicle and matches the physical description, maybe with the extra info you have provided, they can get him off the road at least for some period of time.

I reported it. I told the police officer I didn't expect them to catch the guy without a plate, but that if they pulled someone over for something I'd be happy to ID them.

Do you know why he threw the bottle at you?

Huh? Is there ever a reason to throw a bottle at someone?

There was probably a reason:

a) You cut him off.
b) You were driving slow.
c) You were blasting music.
d) You had a bumper sticker he didn't like.
e) You were driving a Peugeot.

Next time try to be more considerate to other drivers on the road.
