When I was coming home from work tonight, near the intersection of 123, Old Bridge Rd., and 95 there was a sign that was showing the message "Major Event, 9-11, Use Mass Transit". Does anyone know what the major event is and how much/where traffic will be affected?
Thanks

The Pentagon Memorial dedication ceremony is the major event happening on Sept. 11. 395 will be shut down for about 2 hours (11 am - 1 pm, approx.).

There are many roads that will be shut down. I'm guessing Metro will be particularly busy on Thursday. I think you can check the local news stations websites for the exact routes and times - i.e., NBC4.com, etc.

Thanks. That is late enough in the morning that it won't affect me and I don't take 395 anyhow.

I'm glad i dont have to work. Just stay home and do homework. I'll be sure to take a minute of silence for the 9/11 victims.
