Live in Arlington and went to stores on Lee Hwy and have called 1-800Mattress only to find them way overpriced. As it stands a twin bed (mattress & boxspring) is running $450 and up at the lowww end of cost. That doesn't include delivery or the frame which I need. ( I actually need 2 twin beds) So, my current price tag with the above is over $1,000 for two twin beds.

Online, the prices are similar if not more. I'm considering a platform bed which bypasses the need for a boxspring, but then there's the added cost of the bed. Has anyone bought a bed and mattress from Ikea? Any input on the quality/comfort?

Anyone have some suggestions? Appreciate any.

Thanks!

If you like memory foam, we were very pleased with a mattress bought from Costco.

I was going to suggest Costco also. If you buy it in the store, you can take them home yourself. If you are a member, you can buy on-line and delivery is included.

Mattresses are a lot of money.
