Can anyone tell me how walkable Duke St. in Alexandria is, specifically between Ingram Street and Holland Lane, or so?

More specifically, are there sidewalks the entire way, as well as crosswalks and crossing lights?

Thanks in advance!

I've never walked the entire way, but there are sidewalks and lights the whole way. For some of the smaller streets there may not be a crosswalk, but you won't have difficulty crossing. The main part where it might be hard to cross Duke Street is right around the exits for Telegraph Road and the Beltway. Once you get near the King Street Metro, though, there will be a big crosswalk. If I did it, I'd walk on the westbound traffic side, since there seem to be more ramps off the eastbound side (but that's purely by my observation, it's probably fine on both sides).

Yeah crossing over the Telegraph exits isn't that bad. I would agree that it is easier to walk on the westbound side in that area, not because of the number of ramps, but rather because there's a lot less traffic going on to the ramps westbound.

I walked around there a lot and it is not bad, but not as walkable has most other areas in Alexandria.

You could walk all the way from Old Town Alexandria to Landmark without any issues (if you wanted to) as long as you stay in the Westbound lane.
