My daughter and a friend of hers rented a condo from a owner close to George Mason University where they both attend full-time (parents signed lease). The condo association WILL NOT let them have an assigned parking space because both vehicles (owned by parents) are registered at a different address than at the condo address. Both cars are properly registered/tagged in the state of VA at the parents home address which is within a few miles from GMU. Fortunately, there is off-street parking that they can park the cars near their condo building. Some condo associations can be total JERKS when it comes to having any flexibility in their rules!

Just thought I'd let you know...I asked them about it this morning and the woman looked at me like I was crazy. She said of course I can park in my spot. I also read the handbook about parking and I think what they were talking about was the community parking sticker...which I can't get until I have VA plates. But it does acknowledge in the rules that I have 30 days. After that I would get a warning telling me to change my registration. And it would never get towed from my spot because I would have to be the one to call lol. So all cleared up...thanks for the input guys.
