Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Morning Commute Time if you leave at 7:30 am or 8:00 am?

Evening Commute Time a range of possibilities for leaving I imagine the 5 - 6 pm time frame.

Thanks in advance!

It depends upon how close you are to the Beltway on both ends. Our sons attended a school right off Democracy Blvd, near Cabin John Park, and their classmates from Vienna, near Wolf Trap, were able to get to the school in about 25 minutes, leaving their home around 7:30 am. But they lived just off the Toll Road.
I think that evenings would take at least 45 minutes, or more. When I picked up my kids from after school events, it would take 30-40 minutes to McLean, picking up the GW Parkway just after the bridge. The traffic was ALWAYS extremely heavy in the lanes heading towards Tyson's. And the current construction projects are only making that commute worse.

I used to commute from Vienna (near the library on Route 123) to Rockville (Exit 6 Research Blvd.). It took about 45 minutes in the morning, leaving by 8 am. The afternoon was always worse - more typical was 55 minutes, with some days as long as 1:15 minutes. In non-rush hour (like Sunday mornings) I can usually make it there in 35 minutes. I haven't commuted rush hour hours in a few years now so it may be different, but that's how I remember it. The backup was often at the bridge on the way home. Of course there were always a few horrendous days, as well. Summers were generally lighter. Friday afternoons usually heavier.

I had a period several years ago when I needed to make the commute to Bethesda in the morning from the north part of Vienna. My experience was the same as Claremarie's acquaintance. It was easy in the morning (25-30 minutes), given the proximity to the Toll Road and 495, and longer in the late afternoon. I am not sure how the commute would be from other parts of Vienna not as close to the Toll Road.
