Does anyone know of any public campgrounds near Winchester or perhaps closer to Harpers Ferry (WV) where we could bring in our super cool RV? It has to be a public campground as private campgrounds may not allow our RV due to it's high level of supercoolness, it puts everyone elses RV to shame and makes them feel embarrassed.

I have searched online for a public campground in this area and not found any.

Ask and you shall receive. I don't know about any restrictions or not though.

Thanks but that is a privately owned campground. When I said public campground, I meant owned & run by the government. E.G. national state and city parks.

This is the best resource I've found to find Federal/State campgrounds:

I know you said public, but the KOA in Harper's Ferry is very nice, I've stayed there several times. Cowan's Gap state Park in PA isn't too far. Most of the other public lands are further south, in the Shenandoah NP and George Washington NF, an hour or so from Winchester, but tack on another hour to get to Harper's Ferry.
