And another possible piece of good news this week...

Lowes has bought the auto park site east of Leesburg. As part of the proffer they are discussing paying to complete the western portion of Russell Branch Parkway. (A proffer is what a developer exchanges with a county to get permission to build. Kincora will handle the eastern portion of the parkway.)

Russell Branch Parkway runs east-west through Ashburn and will definitely help traffic on Rt. 7. So this is very good news.

Another interesting note: Lowes has agreed that the building designs for this new store will be "architecturally appropriate to Leesburg." I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out. Looking forward to having a Lowes there, too.

Garden, of course!!!!!! I'm there so often they might as well give me a commission. Which reminds me, at the Sterling Lowes caladiums have been marked down to $3 and they look really healthy. Such a deal!

I'm also fond of plumbing. I'm the sort of person who buys pipes and connectors and bags of cement and then tries to figure out how to turn all this stuff into garden art.

I wonder when they'll complete Pacific Blvd.? Russell Branch and Pacific will both relieve a lot of the traffic there.

I like the wallpaper books. And the aisle with all the chandeleirs, just for the sheer glitziness of some of them. Also, electrical hardware is fun to browse through.

When Russell Branch gets completed, will we be able to shortcut through to Wegman's? Every time I drive to Wegmans I've been tempted to try driving down it and see exactly where it goes. Is it going to connect to other raods that connect to the 7?
