Hi all. I'm thinking of relocating from Sterling (near Dulles Town Center) to Fairfax Corner (near Fairfax Corner shopping center). I work near Seven Corners, so my commute from Sterling is awful. My concern is that just because Fairfax Corner is closer in mileage, will it really save me in time? Normally, if I leave Sterling at 6:30 am, I'll arrive at Seven Corners around 7:30 (Route 7 to I 495 to Route 50). What can I expect from Fairfax Corner at the same hours? Any help from locals would be appreciated! Thanks all!

I would think that it would be a pretty easy commute....a straight shot down 50, or 29 to 50. And you're going pretty early, before traffic really heats up.
