Carpooling could earn you a couple of bucks a day - wtop.com

I carpooled for many years and really like the idea of offering an incentive for people to try it. I know it is not for everyone but I found it worth the incentives I got - free parking in Atlanta and substantial time savings in DC. This incentive is enough to buy you lunch once a week and hopefully it will take a few cars off the road and give a few people new friends.

Carpooling is very convenient. Especially during those long days and all you want to do is relax and have no worries when going home. Or it can suck because you have a late meeting and your carpool crew is leaving. Then the backup plan is implemented.

I'm a big fan of carpooling. It can be hard to get started, but there are definite advantages. One time when I was single and still fairly new in town my car broke down and I discovered how great it was to have a carpool buddy who picked me up at the garage and got me to work. (Of course now I have a husband. They're handy for that sort of thing too! )

I found that once co-workers and bosses knew that you had a car pool all those late meetings just didn't happen and that they respected your need to leave the office on time.

LOL, so your carpool may end up benefitting the whole office!

I tried to line up some carpooling options when I lived in PW, but nobody was going to the same area I was going.
