LOL, has anyone else had a chance to check out Donald Trump's ginormous new fountain yet? We took a peak at it yesterday....

Not sure if my reaction should be or !

Actually it's not that bad--just quite a change from what used to be there. Any guesses where he got this thing? It's got 5-6 giant spitting lions, greek gods in various positions (or are those statues of the Donald????) and various other marble ornaments. My guess.... it was leftover from one of his Atlantic City casinos.... or maybe he won it in Las Vegas?????

To tell the truth, now that I'm getting used to it, it's starting to grow on me. Maybe I'll give it a

Trump's golf course is in eastern Loudoun County, at the end of Lowes Island Blvd. It used to be called Lowes Island Country Club, but now it's Trump National. If you watch the golf channel, you'll be seeing it on tv (and the fountain).

I couldn't get too close because it's a construction site... but here are some photos. BTW the fountain's really starting to grow on me. Sure it's over-the-top and extravangant to the trumpth degree--but the lions are actually kinda cool. My votes are in, I give it a

I don't know if this guy is supposed to be The Donald, but whoever it is he looks pretty ticked off that the lion is spitting on him.

Also, there seems to be a fish crawling up to certain unmentionable areas of his body.... Is that a tribute to the infamous Potomac Snakehead?????

More lions. I think there are a dozen in all. I want to see what these guys look like in January, with icicles hanging down from their big front teeth.

OK, now that I'm getting used to it the fountain doesn't look quite so humongous. But wait until you see what they've got flying next to it. This flag is so big you can see it from Maryland. I kid you not--if you're in Mayland go to Riley's Lock and look across the river and you'll see this flag.

It's just a matter of getting used to it. The old country club had a low-key look to it, so the Trumpian flair is a little startling at first. But it's quickly growing on me. It's got a European sort of feeling now.... the sort of place you expect to hear someone say "Pahdon me do you have any Grey Poupon?"
