I was wondering what was going on there. About 3:00 p.m. on my way home from work, the police were shutting down access to that road that goes to NVCC and the high school. I just figured there was an accident on that road. I did notice two helicopters hovering over the scene and just thought it was a bad one.

Even with all of the traffic and social pressures this area has to deal with, I've always had the pre-conceived notion that NOVA is pretty sane compared to the rest of the US. Guess not.

Hard to imagine that a Westfield graduate would be attending NVCC classes on the Woodbridge campus, but anything is possible...

I wouldn't say a single 20-year old mental case represents a whole region. Anyway, sad story in so many ways. I hear the teacher was a hero, I hope this incident doesn't keep her from wanting to teach any more. We need people like that in our schools.
