LOL, you know Glebe Road has got to be one of the ugliest names for a road ever. The word Glebe is just awkward sounding. No wonder traffic's a mess there.

Now that we've spent a few days negotiating roads that weren't well plowed, does anyone have alternate routes suggestions for the next time we get snow?

OK, what's the best was to get from Round Hill to Centreville during rush hour? I have four choices, which is best?

1. Route 7 to Dulles Greenway to 28 S to Centreville. (Looks expensive, and traffic on 28 could be bad in that direction)
2. Airmont Road to Snickersville Turnpike to 50. (The question is... how bad is traffic on 50 at rush hour, going west to east?)
3. Airmont to Snickersville to Lime Kiln Road to 15 to 50 (how bad is traffic on route 15?)
4. Route 7 to 15 to 50

Any opinions?

No help for this one yet? I know we have a few Round Hill residents on this forum, surely one of you has an opinion on this.

This isn't exactly an alternate route, but I thought this thread on the best way to get to Union Station was very useful.
