Hi,

I moved to Fredericksburg because of a job, but my personal life (churches, some professional related activities) is up in DC/alexandria/arlington. I don't have to commute to DC but I will drive up there occasionally during the week and on weekends. I find the commute really tiring, so many trucks and just craziness. It doesn't seem like there is a good time to make the trip.

Well, are there better times to make the trip north and south on I-95 in Northern VA? Are there alternate routes I can take to get to and from NoVA? Thanks.

You're pretty much stuck with 95. Of course you have RT 1 but with all the lights it's often much slower.
