We are in the process of moving to Burke and the house we are looking at is close to Huntsman Blvd and Fairfax County Parkway. Is Huntsman Blvd a road that I could let my older kids walk along to go to the store or is it a busy road? If my dog gets loose is she certain to be hit by a car?

And I guess while you are answering this, if you have any thoughts on West Springfield High vs. Lake Braddock or Robinson I would appreciate it.
Thanks!

Huntsman is a busy street. Everyone who lives in the vicinity of Orange Hunt drives down that road. But it is a residential street, with a residential speed limit and sidewalks. Lots of people walk safely to the store along that road.

It is easy to walk along Huntsman. What I like is the sidewalks are off the road a bit and the speed limit is max. 35 between Sydenstricker and the Parkway. Even though it is a bit busy, it is two lane and divided.
