Friday they should be definitely open. I WANT to go back to work! I can't see us opening tomorrow, though, when there's now another half-foot on the ground and still coming down, and roads still haven't been cleared from the LAST storm.

Snow will be gone tomorrow, but we'll still have winds. So, no need to worry about the unplowed roads. Employees can harness the winds and blow into work!

Depends a lot on whether/when Metro is operating its above-ground track segments. If the federal government does open this Friday, I suspect a lot of employees still won't make it in until next Monday.

You mean Tuesday, Monday is a federal holiday.

I'm starting to think Friday. Originally I'd say tomorrow, but since the blizzard warning is in effect until 7pm there's no way the roads will be clear and I'd bet that Metro won't be ready either.

I wouldn't mind going in to work, unfortunately when I do go in there's a big meeting I have to go to, so I have to trek through the snow and look all nice & professional.

Agreed and agreed. This is a serious blizzard, and I imagine some power lines will be toppled before it's done. Wouldn't mind going to work either, just can't get there due to the metro stoppage.

I'm really hoping for the govt offices to open Thursday and Friday. My husband went there on Monday for meetings (Forrestal bldg) and he's been stuck there in a hotel (albeit a nice one) downtown. He's really getting frustrated. I just hope he can get home to Santa Fe on Friday. He'll probably have to go back to D.C. next week if he doesn't get any work done this week. I'm glad I didn't go with him this time! You guys hang in there...it won't be long before this will be a fond (?) memory.
