I bet a lot of people will just take leave. It's one day before a 3-day weekend. Probably why they called it this way. I still haven't heard what Metro's status is for tomorrow.

At any rate, I am going in on time (6:00 a.m.). Our parking is very limited and with the huge snowfall, the top deck of our garage will be unusable for about 2 weeks. If I wait the two hours, I'll never get to park.

Orange line is not running in VA from Ballston westward (Vienna, Dunn Loring, Falls Church, etc.).

Red line is not running in Shady Grove or Rockville.

I think tomorrow will be Commute-ageddon.

So if I normally work 6 AM-2:30 PM tomorrow I'd be entitled to work 8 AM-2:30 PM, or would I be expected to work 8 AM-4:30 PM? If the latter is the case, then I'm just going in for 6.

It's Friday, do you think the Fed Gov't will be working past 3pm? Silly wabbit.

Regardless I'm going to my alternative work site in Herndon. Commuting in on a Friday for 8 AM on Route 7 to Tyson's Corner should be an absolute NIGHTMARE. The only reason I normally go in for 6 AM is to avoid the congestion. If I'm expected to go in two hours later, then I'm going to hit horrible traffic jams. Not good.

Scran what are your "set"hours? I find all agencies work differently but my set time is 8:15-4:45 so I would be expected to come in at 10:15. (We still leave at 4:45) in my agency different agencies have different set times (I think it is so the lot doesn't flood with 4000 people leaving at once).
