Any suggestions on a grocery store selling bananas? I haven't ventured out too far yet, but am willing to drive a few miles to find bananas. I've been able to restock all our regular food items except bananas. The Bloom and the Giant near me have not had them for a week, and we're going bananas without them.

I've had no shortage of bananas in Woodbridge. Granted, I've only been to Wegman's. I bought organic bananas last weekend because they just looked a lot better than the regular, which I normally buy. But there were tons of them.

Looks like I'm taking a trip to Weggies today. I'm surprised you found them at Super Target--the paper says that store's closed due to too much snow on the roof. Did they re-open it?

I heard that oranges are a great alternative.

In Ashburn and Chantilly I didn't notice any shortage. Even two 7-11's I went to had bananas. The one on 50 this morning had perfectly yellow ones as well, which isn't always there forte.

That is so funny - I thought I was the only one having a banana shortage! Whole Foods in Vienna was out for a while. As of Monday night, they had regular ones in but not organic. Peapod brought me some organic ones yesterday but they are very green.
