Maybe I bought your house! As of March, I now live off Shreve road, about half way between Route 7 and Lee Highway, and there is no public transport to bring you to metro, both of which are close, but not quite close enough. Walking to each is 2 miles, or about 40 minutes, which is long in DC heat or snow. The only bus option I can find that might be feasible is walking 15-20 minutes to Lee Highway and then busing to Dun Loring.
