We are currently renting in Manassas, but we are planning on buying soon and would prefer to not be in Manassas City Schools. Where can we live in Manassas that would be outside the Manassas City Schools boundaries? Thanks!

If it's anything like the Cities of Alexandria or Falls Chruch...anywhere outside the city limits would do the trick...

Right. Our address used to be Manassas, but we were right next to Montclair.

the city is 20110, but there may be a few exceptions in the Lamonde area. Stonewall is more ghetto than Osbourn.

I heard Manassas Park has good schools, but I don't know any more than that.

Osbourn Park is in the County, and would be better than Osbourn or Manassas Park. Manassas Park treats its employees like dirt. Bus Driver's start at 12.50 per hour, Substitute Teachers make 85 per day, which in both cases is a little less than Phoenix. However, you can buy a decent house here for 40,000, which are much nicer than the dumps selling for 140K there. You will hear how great the General's Ridge area is in MP, but lots of the older parts are dumpier than anything in the City.

My best friend lives in 20112 (Dumfries Rd area) and he's considered in Prince William County, not Manassas City.

That's the same area I was talking about too. We used to live in the 20112 zip code which runs all the way down to where Dumfries Rd meets Spriggs Rd. That puts you only about 4 miles west of 95.

If I were you I'd move to a neighborhood that allows the kids to go to Osbourn Park, Forest Park or Hylton. Definitely not Stonewall. And I'm an alumni of Stonewall from back in the 70's. Brentsville HS would be a good one as well but you'd have to live out towards Nokesville.

I live in the Manassas Park school district and the schools are great. Either the Manassas Park, Osbourn Park, or Brentsville HS pyramids are good.

Manassas Park is more ethically diverse than Osbourn Park or Brentsville.
