Where in Nova did you continue your education, and did you find your courses easily remotely accessible considering family life. I'm looking to get another degree but since I'm a full time slave & parent, I need better options. Please help me.

I did my graduate work at George Mason. None of it was done remotely or online, however. It was only a 15 minute drive from my home, so that made life easier.

I did NVCC for three years and now do my 4-yr degree at Park University at Ft. Myer. It's a bargain at $220 a credit hour.

I'm getting a masters of education through Marymount University. They offered a lot of different schedules (traditional, night classes, and weekends). I chose to go with the weekend program, so it's long hours Friday night and all day Saturday, but it allows me to continue working my full time job during the week.

As a bonus, it was the cheapest M Ed program I could find.

Make sure you read the fine print. You definitely cannot claim all of those in the same year (for example, it's Hope Credit OR Lifetime Learning, if I remember right), and the Hope Credit is only good for your first 4 years of higher education--even if those 4 years were completed many moons ago!

Yes. Good news is the American Opportunity Credit is only good for 2009 and 2010. However, there's no income requirement.

I got my AA from NVCC and my BA online from CUNY. Its a really good program which also offers a BS and a Masters in Business. Below is their website if you'd like to consider the online option but want to be affiliated with a brick and mortar school. Tuition is low and is the same rate for in-state, out of state and online students. You never have to go to NYC but will want to keep in email contact with your adviser if you choose this option. CUNY Online Baccalaureate

I live in northern VA and am currently working on my Masters degree online through the Univ of West Alabama. Good option for an online program through a brick and morter school.
