I know, right?! I guess the OP got tired of his/her useless and uninformative posts.

The OP, me, actually already addressed this. I've stated that there are good schools in Munster, and that's the main reason why people would want to live there if raising families. Again, if not raising a family there, then you wouldn't be reaping the main benefit of the high property cost/taxes that you would be paying. The cost would far outweigh the benefit in this scenerio.

The stench isn't smelled throughout the entire town, however, again as previously stated, it is something worth mentioning to someone thinking about buying a home in this part of Munster.

If you were coming from another part of the country and saw a house in Cobblestone you liked, wouldn't you appreciate knowing that often times there's a horrific smell in the air when you step our your front door? I sure would, and that's how/why I'm being helpful. Therefore, this was neither a useless nor informative post.

Carelessness on my part. I actually meant "SanD80" since his posts were the one's people had issues with (being very insulting). Not you. My apologies.

The best advice I can give (and this goes to anyone moving anywhere) is visit the location several times before purchase with the wind coming from various directions and also on a calm day when it is hot and humid. I never noticed a "stench" coming from the dump even when it was an active landfill but I am not suggesting one doesn't exist.

So, I haven't smelled the "stench" in a really long time. Has anyone else noticed? Did it just go away or did the town do something proactive about it? I've been wondering for a while and then came across this old post.
