Will i be better off with an attorney asking for the infraction deferral prioram or can I call the prosecuting attorney myself?

call the pros. office. they can give you the information about the deferral program. as long as you don't have any recent moving violations or have taken the deferral program before you should be golden.

If you have a lawyer friend who will do you a favor for free, ask him to do it. It's WAY cheaper. If you pay for the deferral yourself, it's a couple hundred depending on which community you're in.

I worked road construction for 26 years and have seen more than enough people speed through work areas and have had a friend get a broken arm after being hit by the side view mirror of a car going 50 in a 35, plus it being a work area. Paying the full amount of the fine should be mandatory. Hope you don't get a break.

It's a little late to tell you but you shouldn't have been speeding.

Find an attorney and go to driving school.
