Does anyone know of any German Shepherd breeders in the area that may be having a litter of puppies in early 2014? I really do not want to spend over $800. If anyone has any information , please pass it along. Thank you.

Adam

Please consider adopting a German Shepherd instead of buying from a breeder. Much more reasonably priced and it could save a dog's life. There are a lot of German Shepherds up for adoption from a rescue or at a local human society. Here are some of them that are in your area:

I know an excellent breeder in Frankin, KY, but that's probably too far to drive.

Here's a link that you can check out, although you might have difficulty finding a pup for $ 800. Good luck.

Oh, how I agree. Plus those faces how can you resist? Positives, no dealing with puppy stages too.

I agree with the above posts. There are so many purebred dogs that need loving forever homes. Sadly, many people still breed them for the money and anyone with cash gets a dog. Please consider adopting from a rescue or shelter.

If you do decide to look at a shepherd puppy, try Tatum Kennels in Lake Village, Indiana. We purchased one of her shepherds and had a very good experience. Ask for Lori.

There are many breeders in the Amish area that is east of South Bend. Shipshewana, Middlebury, Goshen, and Nappannee are some towns that are known for dog breeders.

I hope you aren't referring to Amish breeders there. The Amish are well known for being puppy millers that look at dogs as a product rather than living beings that need care.

I know a good breeder with a very correct West German showline male that is his primary stud dog. I have a pup out of him and she is marvelous! His pups have good pedigrees and are very trainable. He helped train the pup I bought from him. His name is Curt and his number is 574-309-2994.
