Need some help!!! What is the best (easiest and fastest) way to get from Elkhart IN to Chicago? How long does it take to get there? Thanks for any input.

Just be careful with road construction. There are a lot of areas that are down to one lane. Driving to South Bend and getting on the train is another option if you're not wanting to drive.

Really depends on what the purpose of the trip is and where EXACTLY you need to end up.

I have taken the train to/from South Bend and driving is always about 30 minutes quicker, but if you do not need a car once you get to your destination that might be a factor. The hour or so that relying on a train "adds" to the round trip might be worth it if you add up the hassles of traffic & parking as well the potential to sit in heavy traffic vs taking a nap or reading on the train.

80/90 toll rates: (note the different prices if you do not have an I-PASS or E-ZPass). And
the lines can be long without a pass. Depending on which direction or where you want to go -
there's also the Skyway.
