Plus, it's been broken into and a couple attempts. Detached garages seem to get hit in Munster.

I'm guessing that they are new to flipping bc they put a lot into the basement and they aren't even legal bedrooms. They paid 140k, I'm guessing they put 75-100k in, so not much room for reducing. I wouldn't have put much downstairs. Put 40- 50k upstairs and sell for 229k.

They put it for sale after school started which doesn't help.
Detached garages really get hit with burglary attempts everywhere. The only real deterrent is having the garage included in a household alarm system. Also if the garage is accessed by a front driveway, having a fence around the property accessed by a gate on the driveway would help (which a lot of homes have) would help. Garages accessed by alleys get hit more often due to less visibility and poor lighting but a security system would help as well. One with a loud alarm and security lights.

We did finally get an alarm but we could only have the window break sensors bc it's on a corner with the doors facing Camellia. The company said the motion sensors would constantly go off bc people walk by regularly and the doors aren't far enough away.

Oh well, not my problem anymore.

It sold for 258 last month.
Not sure if it's going to be a rental or he's going to live there. Per the recorders website, he seems to own a lot of property including a condo across the street.
