I moved a month or so to Indiana. What I didn't expect was non-stop fireworks from the time I get home from work to about 10pm. I expect fireworks around the 4th of July but not every day. And at least around me they are loud. I had a young relative stay overnight with me and he couldn't sleep with the constant booms. I checked the IN regulations and it looks like people can set them off from 9am to 11pm, but I sure hope it this isn't a year round thing.

If you only heard fireworks till 10pm then consider yourself lucky! We heard them till about 1am on the 4th and it was raining outside! We both had to work on Thursday as I think a lot of people actually did. The last 2 nights we heard them till about 12ish. At any rate, it's the 4th and only once a year,, so really no big deal. Fireworks are legal here, but not in Illinois and with the influx of people moving here from Illinois they like the fact they can blow off the fireworks.

It's not a big deal around the 4th, but I've heard them every night since June 1st. Just getting tiring that's all, but seems like I need to get used to it.

It depends where you are. State law allows them until 11pm every day of the year with longer hours on the 4th, New Year's Eve, and I believe Memorial Day. Local ordinances can supersede that except they must be allowed the 10 or 11 days around the 4th and New Year's Eve. Many communities do ban them outside of those days. But if you don't live in an incorporated area with those bans, then they are legal any day of the year until 11pm.

Kids love fireworks. Curious what city or area you're in where you're hearing them so often?

I live in the St John/Dyer area. Last night at 11:45pm one of my neighbors let off a fireworks volley and woke me up from a sound sleep.

Well, if it's after 11pm you could always call the police if you know exactly where they are coming from. I live also live in St. John (however on the other end) and I have heard a few here and there, but it has considerably died down since the weekend ended. I do think it's quite rude of people to set them off that late, but you have ignorant people everywhere! I have been here two years now in Indiana and I do not hear fireworks year round.
