Indiana Dunes is an underappreciated park IMO.
I don't believe many people from the metro area know about it as they should!
Maybe that's a good thing but it would not hurt talking about it in this thread.

What has been your experience with the Indiana Dunes State Park and National Lakeshore?

When we were little we were told that some "ghost lady" haunted the dunes. It does have its own special kind of beauty.

they are and they are not. some parts of them are beyond great. other parts, like the dunes in Gary, are terrible!!!
