I am looking to relocate from Michigan to Chicago suburbs, Champaign, IL or North of Indianapolis with no recruiters. In Indiana thinking of Fishers, IN. Also, would really like to work with an enjoyable group of office folks and patients. Any ideas?

have you thought about the South Bend area? Granger is quite nice, close to Notre Dame. Lots of bang for your buck in housing.

I manage several independents and groups throughout Indiana. I am not a recruiter, just trying to find a good addition to our growing team. I have a group that has a tight-knit support staff, with NP, and walk-in clinic availability.

If interested, I would be happy to hear about your specialty, and share about our practices as well. A brochure about our practice mgmt and startup services can be viewed at http://www.proservicestaff.com

Fishers is more of an Indianapolis suburb, so maybe you could post in that forum instead of the NWI side. As you probably know, our climate for medical practice in Indiana is much better than Illinois.

If you want to live near Indianapolis, may I recommend the suburb of Carmel? Its right next door to Fishers. Both are the fastest-growing towns in the state and very nice suburbs. But Carmel would be considered more 'cool' or hip. Bth of these cities are excellent places to start a physician clinic.

Dont know why you would even consider Champaign, IL. Its nothing but a small town in the middle of nowhere.

But the Chicago Metro Area is really good. Its the 3rd largest city in the country, a world class city, with world-class everything else. Excellent city!

I agree with Carmel, but Chicago has a lot of problems associated with practicing as a Physician in Illinois (high malpractice insurance, etc). Cook county, in particular, is a tough place for Doctors. Given the much lower cost of living (and practicing), Carmel would be the better choice IMO.
