That was second in state at golf, and they finished first last year. And I think your jealousy of the area really shows.

What are you, like a third grader now?

I moved AWAY from the area, so your claim of jealousy is not only juvenile, it's downright stupid.

You do realize that YOU came over to this forum, right?

(and FYI - if they finished 1st last year & 2nd this year, that means they declined, right?)

having someone from Illinois say that traffic is NWI is bad??? That's rich! Wonder why the traffic in NWI is bad? Mmmmmmmmmmaybe it's because of all the Illini-flight into Indiana???? Hey, we'll take 'em! We welcome people who are tired of being bled dry!

I feel like I'm always posting about traffic on this forum, but I had to say that traffic in the Homewood-Flossmoor area is a dream compared to NWI.
Anyway, Allen and Chuckity, call a truce OK?

I guess we can agree to disagree.

There are still many new homes being sold in Crown Point. There are many proposed constuctions listed but that's what they are - proposed. Crown Point has only a fraction of the foreclosures that Plainfield has. One of the things that helps people in Crown Point is that their property taxes are reasonable while Plainfield's (like most of Illinois') are out of control. Makes it much harder to pay your mortgage when half of it goes to taxes. It may be pretty far out for some people but I-65 makes CP highly accessable to Chicago. As far as Falling Waters goes, it's a messy situation. I wouldn't buy anything in that community until all the problems get resolved. I have driven through and I have to say it is a very attactive place. Most of the problems are due to the developer and won't be resolved until his bank finally envokes their default clause and puts the development into the receivership of someone that knows what they're doing.

Wow, this whole thing is more of a mess than I thought. I really believe the media should interview the homeowners and get their view on this whole thing. It is only fair.

Also, while they could sell the lots to another developer, the only developers that are buying in bulk right now are national developers. All of these homes in this subdivision are custom built. If a national builder takes over, the homes will probably not be that customized and then what happens? Only time will tell..I feel kinda bad for the current homeowners

Was just speaking with my builder who just purchased 20 lots in FW. Rode through there and it's a very nice subdivision. Would really like to know has all the horrible issues been resolved. The last posting was from 2009, this is now 2012 has anything gotten better. Would really like to know before I decide to build in Falling Waters
