Tolls have definitely increased - especially on the Skyway.

Here's the link to the Indiana toll road site which could help with costs: https://www.getizoom.com/index.jsp

I tend not to think about how much I'm chucking out the window and DH has the i-Zoom - but will drive miles out of his way to avoid a toll.

The day that domergirl is talking about was awesome - if we're remembering the same day a few years back. It snowed non stop all day - but only over Porter county. Laporte - nothing. Lake county & Chgo - zilch. In a 1/2 a mile near the county lines it went from 20+ inches to a dusting ... very strange to drive through!

Yes there's traffic, and yes there's snow ... but tons of people do the commute every day - even in the winter. Sometimes the snow isn't an issue and other times, roads are shut down. Living in this area, it is what it is ... personally, I love the snow and wished we got more.

I remember looking at the weather and saying "there's a snow thumb over porter county"!!! Hubby was working in South Bend at the time and he couldn't believe it.
