My husband and I just found out we are expecting our 2nd child! We relocated here about a month ago and don't even have a new family doc yet. I was just wondering if anyone knew a REALLY awesome OBGYN and maybe a pediatrician or family doc in the Portage/Valpo area?

Physicians for Women , and if you make an appointment today, you'll probably get in just in time for the delivery!
Well, you'll be able to get in sooner, but she is very good, and that's why it takes so long to get in,
everyone is waiting to see her! I've been going to her for ten years or more.
Seriously, just call her.

I highly recommend Dr. J.T. Ames as a family/peds doc!! He is in downtown Valpo a few blocks from the hospital. He has been in practice for over 20 years, listens to you without trying to rush you out, and is VERY kid friendly. He is always ready with finger puppets and a harmonica in his pocket. Children and adults love him. I also recommend trying to only see him or nurse practitioner Quinn. Some of the others in the building are not the nicest.
