I am moving to Hawaii with my boyfriend and 3 dogs and want to take a private charter plane. I'll be going sometime September or October 2011, totally flexible. Leaving from Seattle but that s flexible too. Anyone want to share?? Can save 50%!

Save 50% of what?

If It cost $1,000 to transport 3 dogs from seattle to hawaii, a 50% savings is $500. But if the charter is costing $50,000 all inclusive, I'm still spending over $24G's more. Not a savings at all.

Right now int he economy if your able to get a single leg trip (they have someone looking to go from hawaii to the mainland) you can get a prices as low as $30,000 all inclusive from CA to maui for 6 pax. You only want all inclusive prices as hourly or leg prices don;t include taxes, fees, etc, etc which can add a big amount to the final bill. Someone once posted a $26,000 cost but later admited it ended up over $36,000 when all cost were added in. (and they had a last minute fuel surcharge increase )

why would anyone want to take a charter unless you have more money than you know what to do with.

Because they don't want their cats and dogs in the cargo hold.

The animals ride right with the passengers.

That should smell nice near the end of a 6 hour flight.

I know about the animal thing. We love my dog, since the kids are grown and gone she has filled that void. When we moved here she done very well in her cage as extra suitcase. I just cant see as it makes much difference to the dog what part of the plane they are in. They will probably sllep the whole way anyway. Send them as cargo and pamper them when you are reunited. They will not know the difference.

Do charter flights coordinate with the AQS? With their strict rules, I wouldn't want to mess that up?

That cost is CCCRRRAAAAZZZYYYY!!

I have an eight yr old Great Dane. She could never go underbelly style. My sister found"pet airway dog travel co. private travel club dog" You all fly together in seats, cage free, except cats. They allow two pets per person. You have to join their club($20-30.00) but may be worth it. I am in the process of buying a home. When I know its a go I am going to contact them. I just adopted Tara 9 mos ago and I have to find away to get her there in a safe and calm manner. Best to you all.
