[quote=whtviper1;34129345]Many people on the mainland would be envious of $400 every six months. I don't find car insurance in Hawaii to be very high at all. This site suggests Honolulu is #20 in the nation.

I was going to say it can't be worse than vegas ...ours is ridiculous and we just had to add a teenage son. Then I looked and honolulu is lower on the least than vegas so woohoo if we decide to move that is one thing that might be cheaper. My husband is being offered a really good job there so we are thinking about it.

Electric costs in Hawaii are very high. I believe Oahu is running around $0.35 per KWH right now - which is probably 3x what you are paying where you are now and the Big Island is running around $0.44 per KWH.

I think Chicago is currently around $0.12/KWH.

What a joke! Pukas all over the road. They charge us so much and where does the money go? Obviously not fixing the roads. The only place that I've seen that has nice roads is Ko Olina. *smh* I hope you have a small car. Don't even ask how much I pay a year for my Suburban.

I pay a lil over $500 for car full coverage insurance every 6 months for (2) vehicles.
