Wow, Monastic...took you only about 3 1/2 years to get back to Hawaiian by Heart and throw him a Mahalo.

you must have been in one of those trances you were discussing in a prior post.

looks Hawaiian by Heart is no longer a member.

I think you will find that, with the exceptiion of a small few, a majority of posters here on CD the have lived in the Islands for less then 10 years...so sadly, there won't be many peeps here to talk story with about the old days.

Maybe some more Kama'aina will chime in after reading your thread..that would be nice.

I’ve got to imagine anyone old enough to remember 1960’s radio shows are experiencing a massive die off.

With the miracles of modern medicine, coupled with a healthy lifestyle, I think the 'boomers' who remember the 1960s will be here for a long time.

Hopefully long enough to drain the coffers of their preceding generation...

you know, those ostentatious, nouveau riche, smug ones who flippantly post here about their net worth.

How about us old timers who can remember some 1950s radio shows (although not necessarily Hawaiian radio shows).

(Actually, since I was born in 1938 (that makes me - mumble mumble fingers toes more fingers - 80) I do remember a couple from the late 1940s!)

NOTE: I plan on living forever...........so far so good!

Are you sure it's the same Howard Hanson that was on radio KTRG?

How can you talk about Hawaii radio and not mention Lucky Luck? Or Gene Good, J. Akuhead Pupule, Bill Baist, Joe Rose and Sam Sanford? They WERE Oahu before TV was a big deal.
