I'm moving to Honolulu in September from California. Where do locals go for nightlife. Would like to find places that aren't too touristy. Where is the best place to find girls at?
I visited from Boston twice (both in the past 5 years).
To me it seemed the choices were almost endless. From Chinatown to clubs to bars, even the hotel ones just off Waikiki. There is something for everyone.
Best place to find girls? What about the beach? Ala Moana? Finding someone at a bar seems like it would limit your choices to folks who may have habits you'd not want to have in a long term relationship.
Take up walking your neighbor's dog? Then folks would have something to talk to you about. The trouble with a big city like Honolulu is that it's hard to start a conversation with a stranger.

walk the dog is the best. my hubby and I tease every time we walk the dog someone wants to talk to strike up a conversation.
My friend used to take his dog with him when he went to clubs just to keep the hostesses off of him. They'd be all over the dog, but the dog didn't mind. The dog didn't buy them drinks, either; go figure that one out.
