I've never thought of worrying about crumbling modern buildings in the far future. I've lived in cities with very old multilevel structures and haven't given it one thought - until this thread. How would one check that? And are you suggesting single family homes are the only safe options?

Back on this topic, I'd be more worried about structural integrity of roads and bridges. I'd love to live in a castle, but it's not easy to move in.

Stone/brick construction and concrete construction are different animals it would seem

This needs a separate thread of it's own, and you had best hurry, while any concrete reinforced condos are still standing.
