I'm hoping that someone can help out. My husband is looking to go to University for his graduate degree on Oahu. I've been looking everywhere and getting all sorts of information for our possible move, but I can't seem to find any information on pet limit. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of dogs a family can have? We currently have four (they're small - three chinese cresteds and a chihuahua).
Where we live now, Baltimore, you can have up to three dogs and after that you have to apply for a kennel license. I'm wondering if it's the same sort of thing in Hawaii...
Aloha,
I researched this very same bit of info and here is what I found.
You may have 10 dogs...2 chickens... and 1...CAMEL!
I'm not joking. I found this on the Hawaii Government site, somewhere.
I was thrilled about the dogs and chickens but still don't know where to
park a Camel...
Thank you very much for your response! Wow! Glad to hear that it wouldn't be a problem to bring the pups along. ^_^ Glad to hear I won't have to leave my camel behind, either. lol Thanks again!

By the way, if you have a problem with a neighbor whose dogs are a barking nuisance, you can contact the Hawaiian Humane Society at 946-2187. They have a procedure on educating dog owners to reduce dog barking.
