My family really values humble and friendly people. Are there towns near by good schools in the North Shore that have people like this?

The North Shore is a vast area. With that said, does not exactly have a reputation for good schools - unless of course you are Mormon, in that case check out Laie

I would visit the area to get a idea on how vast it is. But beware there is Drug use up there, and the homeless is there. That being said my wife's father was a pastor at the United Church of Christ when she was a little girl. We drove through last year, with her father to look at the town and church, which the old church, was replaced with a new church. This was before the Covid-19 hit and shut everything down.
I personally like the area, just have to see if it would work out for you.
Good luck I hope it works out for you.

Most local folks are humble and friendly, now whether they'll share that with you is a whole different story. North shore isn't known for "good" schools and have their share of wealthy, transplants, tourists, traffic, crowds, etc.

Friendly. If you can find a place nearby. Why? Did you see too much shows from the Hawai'i? It's just for publicity sake. Nothing else. For the most part, everybody's friendly.
