I was wondering if anyone knows any shippping company in Honolulu that ships to LA,Ca for less than $1074. I want it to CC,Tx but can't find it less than $2270. Thanks for any help in advanced..
That's probably about right. Matson, Horizon, Pasha ship cars. All for approximately the same price altho I think Matson might be the highest. The overland shipping from CA to TX is what's gonna really cost you. Could you drive from Long Beach to CC?
Figure out the mileage from LA to CC, calculate fuel cost based upon your vehicles mpg and figure in the cost of your plane ticket to LAX vs straight to CC. Then, figure out what your time is worth - is it actually cheaper to have it shipped direct than for you to spend a few extra days driving it?
Sell it on CL and buy a new car in Texas. Shipping costs are so obscene these days that it rarely ever makes sense to ship a car unless the car is a classic or there is some sentimental value attached to it.
Yes, it will cost you about $1,100 to ship to California, where your resale value will automatically drop a couple thousand bucks. And about $800 more to ship to Texas. That's $4K in round numbers.
Generally speaking, you are way ahead to sell in Hawai'i, and get another car in Texas.
