Not sure if anyone is familiar with the posts I've made over the last few weeks, looking for advice on moving to Honolulu, but up til now, it's all been very hypothetical.
But it's official now! The girlfriend just accepted her grad student position at UH@Manoa after hearing back from her first choice this morning, so we are definitely moving to Hawaii! Expected arrival: July 22ish (gonna buy our plane tickets soon!)
I'm just so ridiculously excited that I had to share it. Expect a lot of questions from me in the coming months!
There have been several people that have posted about really good discount student ticket pricing through ????. Maybe one of them can post that for you.
Any help or advice with airfare would be much appreciated. Right now the cheapest we can find from Kansas City to Honolulu is about $460, but we're willing to be flexible.
